About
I am researcher in moral philosophy. I hold a PhD from the University of Genoa and more than three years of postdoctoral experience. I published one monograph and numerous peer-reviewed articles in moral psychology and applied ethics.
My keen interest in moral philosophy dates back to my undergraduate studies in Florence and Pisa, where I concentrated on deontic logic and moral metaphysics.
My doctoral studies, started in November 2018 and completed in March 2022, focused on moral psychology. My doctoral dissertation centered on the notion of moral intuition, examining its psychological characteristics, its epistemic reliability, and its role within so-called “dual process” theories of the mind.
From November 2022 to December 2025, I held a postdoctoral appointment at North Carolina State University (U.S.) that allowed me to further develop my work in moral psychology while expanding its application to emerging technologies. As part of an interdisciplinary project funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation (PI: Dr. Veljko Dubljevic), I investigated how people evaluate the moral decisions of autonomous vehicles.
